How to Build a List Using Plr Content

Every internet marketer will say that you must have your own list of subscribers. “The money is in the list,” as they say. This is very true. Having your own list of subscribers can make a huge impact on your business.

I’m not going to bore you about the many benefits though, because I want to explain to you how to build a list of subscribers in as little as a week using PLR content.

The best part about all of this is that it will not cost you a single cent. You read that correctly; you won’t have to pay anything at all. It isn’t hard and will only require some effort on your part. I will show you step-by-step how you can do this.

To start, you must have your own product. Now I know what you’re thinking, but if you stay with me for a minute I will explain how you can do this in as little as 30 minutes. If you can spare just 30 minutes, and you should since this is your business we’re talking about, then you can do this.

The key is getting your hands on some PLR content. PLR is simply Private Lable Rights content that you have the right to do whatever you want to it. You can get articles, ebooks, software and whatever else you can think of.
 
I chose to create an ebook from a Word document. I will outline the steps I took to accomplish this and then explain how to build a list from your new product.

1. I opened the document and read through the information, correcting any spelling and grammar errors. This step is important as many times there are errors that need corrected. I added a personal note and a picture of myself. I also put my website address in the footer of every page, this is part of branding yourself.

2. Then I converted the document into a PDF document, known as an ebook. I fine-tuned the details and layout until everything looked the way I wanted it. I gave my new ebook a name and saved it. 3. Then I wanted to create a graphic for my ebook. I have Photoshop so I got a hold of some very nice action scripts to create a professional looking ebook cover. Action scripts are great if you’re not familiar with all the editing tools that Photoshop has to offer. If you don’t have Photoshop there are free picture editors that will do pretty much the same thing that these scripts will do. You’ll just have to do some searching to find them.

4. Once I got the graphic created I uploaded the ebook and graphic to my server. This shouldn’t take more than one or two minutes depending on how big your files are.

5. My ebook is done, and now it’s time for me to start promoting it. I created a blog post with a direct download link to my ebook, talked about it on Twitter, provided a link to my blog post, advertised in forums and sent an email out to my list.

Those are the main steps I took to create my ebook from PLR content and promote it. However, we are not done. That promotion as you will soon see didn’t gain me any subscribers at all.

This may seem crazy to some, but I didn’t ever ask for a single name or email address. I just provided a link for them to directly download my ebook.

I added my ebook to a JV Giveaway promotion, and I advertised the promotion as well using the same methods above. This has to be one of the fastest ways I have seen to build your list.  The best part is you can do this absolutely free.

So that’s how to build a list using PLR content. It’s been over a week, but I’m still getting new names and email addresses being added to my list. It doesn’t get much easier than that.

What Are Some Powerful Ways to Build a List?

Some of the best ways to build a list isn’t just by giving away free reports. Joint Ventures are one of the most powerful ways to build a list. The simple way to do this is go through the other websites in your niche and contact the owners selling similar products and services to you.

Once you have a few people you think could be related to your site you now need to contact a couple of them. This will be a simple “capture swap I? on your thank you page from either an opt in form or sales page. What you do it host your competitor’s capture form on one of your thank you pages. You then get them to do the same.

Every time someone get to that thank you page you then have the opportunity for that customer to opt in to your competitor’s list and visa versa. This means you will double your list building efforts and have fresh leads coming in from two sources all in the time it took you to copy and paste some code!

Now you can take this a step further and contact several competitors and do the same for each product you have. If you get together with a few other people doing this then you should all see a nice little income and list boost in just a matter of days!

Another simple but effective way is to get together with your competitors (again pick a few people who’s products relate to your niche) and create a mini eCourse. Pick five people and ask them to each write an article. Once again adding the capture form of your competitors on the thank you page and the affiliate links in each week’s article.

Package the articles together so you now have a five week eCourse. Make sure each article is promoting a website (each person will write an article to promote their website or product) and then insert your own affiliate link to that product in to the bottom of the article. Make sure the other people who have written articles do this as well.

Now you each send an article a week to your lists. Very simply you have now boosted your income and list building efforts five fold, as have your competitors. If you wanted to take this one step further you could even make your own simple website dedicated to this five week eCourse. Once again adding the capture form of your competitors on the thank you page and the affiliate links in each week’s article.

You can also share this “eCourse template I? with your five competitors, have they each made a new website dedicated to the eCourse and do the same as you. With five people promoting five different websites all interrelated you have a huge and powerful money making and list building tool.
