What To Know Before Starting Your First Blog

Internet Marketers all over the world get their start through blogging. In most cases, the reason that most Internet Marketers fail has to do with knowledge – they do not know what to do and by default fail their first time round. Seemingly simple, blogging is not – this is where most IMers get confused. Is it really that hard? Isn’t it as simple as making a few posts and generating some cash? Isn’t that right? Absolutely not! It really isn’t that easy to set up a blog and make cash. Really it isn’t! In an attempt to help you succeed, or at least have an easier time online, we wrote this article outlining things you need to avoid doing.

Beginning with shared hosting is all fine and good but you shouldn’t try to force yourself to stay with it. It’s true that shared hosting is much more affordable but it puts you at the mercy both of the other site owners who share your server and the host itself. If something they do causes the server to malfunction your site will go down as well. So even though it’s nice and affordable for beginners (and there are lots of fantastic shared hosting providers to choose from), as soon as your blog starts to bring in money, spend some on a dedicated server. Your site and your readers will thank you.

Every person who starts a new blog becomes obsessed with his or her statistics. Checking the numbers can be quite addictive. It is really easy to get caught up in how many people are checking out your site, where they came from, how long they stuck around, etc. At the same time, this is not the best way to use your time. Every single minute that you spend on your stats is a minute that you aren’t spending working on the more important parts of your project. It is much better to check out your stats once a week or (better) once per month.

It’s best that you do not let yourself become worn down.

Nobody has amazing blog success overnight. In spite of what you might have heard, you can’t put a blog up one night and expect to be vastly richer by the next night. This is true of every website. Inaction does not create a fortune. This is a lie made up by people who want to earn money off of other peoples’ gullibility. Regular and hard work is the only way to get anywhere. Work patiently. Persistence is key. Keep working even when you start to feel bored. In the end the hard work that you put in to your blog really will pay off. Several factors must be considered when creating a successful blog. The more you know and understand, the more successful you will be. It is not enough to make a free blog, and utilize the free templates that come with them, to make money online. You must go above and beyond what most people are doing. Many mistakes must be avoided. What you have just read is just a small portion of the knowledge you need to know. Without a doubt, the more you  learn,  the  quicker you  will find online  success!
